Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Training Delivered On-Site

When you're the first on the scene, your training can mean the difference between life and death. At Safety First, we offer Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Training for professionals and advanced responders who require a deeper level of emergency care knowledge. Our Red Cross–certified courses are taught on-site, anywhere in the USA, by experienced instructor Craig Munnoch, and are designed to meet the demands of real-world high-risk environments.

This is more than First Aid—EMR prepares you for complex emergencies, extended care, and critical decision-making when it matters most.

What You’ll Learn in EMR Training

The Emergency Medical Responder course builds advanced-level emergency care skills that go beyond basic First Aid or CPR. Course topics include:

  • Advanced patient assessment and triage
  • Airway, breathing, and circulation (ABCs)
  • xygen therapy and airway management
  • Spinal motion restriction and trauma response
  • Medical emergencies (cardiac, stroke, diabetic, seizures)
  • Bleeding control and shock treatment
  • Use of emergency medical equipment
  • Transport, immobilization, and packaging for EMS handoff
  • Scene management and communication
  • CPR and AED included as part of the course
  • Red Cross EMR Certification upon completion

This program is interactive and hands-on, designed for responders who may be the first to arrive before EMS or in locations with delayed access to medical support.
